The Importance of Space Exploration

Leading up to the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing we asked Art Klinger, former DVT & Planetarium Director, to share with us a reflection on the importance of space exploration.

Mr. Klinger retired at the end of the 2014-2015 school year after 45 years of dedicated service. He began his career at P-H-M as a Science teacher at Schmucker Middle School in 1970. With the opening of Bittersweet Elementary School and P-H-M’s state-of-the-art Planetarium in 1980, Art became the Director of the Planetarium, a position he has held for 35 years.
