Summer Break 2019 Kids Club will operate June 6 – August 20, 2019 at Prairie Vista and Walt Disney Elementary Schools from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Students will be provided with a T-shirt, morning and afternoon snacks, as well as drinks throughout the day. Students must bring their own sack lunches.
The cost is $125 per week, per child. Students attending fewer than five days a week will be charged $30 per day.
If students are not already registered in the Kids Club program this an annual, non-refundable $25 registration fee per child, in addition to a $100 deposit non-refundable activity fee to hold a spot for your child.

Kids Club is P-H-M’s school-based childcare program. Kids Club provides the children of working parents with an environment that is safe and fun.
Kids Club participants can choose from a variety of recreational, social and enrichment activities each day. The program is offered before school, operating from 6:30 a.m. until the start of classes, and again after school, operating from the time of school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
Kids Club accepts children in grades K-5 who either live in the district or attend a Penn-Harris-Madison school. Parent fees support the program. A parent or authorized adult must provide transportation to the program in the morning and a parent or authorized adult can pick the child up any time during afternoon or all-day care.

How do I make a payment?
When is Kids Club available?
During the school year
Kids Club is open before and after school on every day that school is in session.
When school is closed or dismissed due to bad weather or a building emergency, Kids Club is closed. Parents must have an emergency care plan in place in the event of an unanticipated emergency closure of Kids Club. When the start of school is delayed (a 2-hour fog delay, for example) Kids Club will not operate that morning.
Kids Club is also closed on the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve Day, New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July.
Outside the school year
Full-day childcare is available for an additional fee during fall, winter, spring and summer breaks, to those who sign up and pay for those days before the stated deadline. The cost is $20 to $25 per day per child. A deadline to sign up and pay for these additional days of Kids Club will be announced and enforced. The full-day programs will be offered at one or two locations.
*Spring Break 2019 Kids Club will operate April 1 – 5, 2019 at Mary Frank Elementary School from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This service is a available for students in all P-H-M schools, families do not have to be currently enrolled in Kids Club to take advantage of this service. What are the hours of operation?
All locations open at 6:30 a.m and close at 6 p.m..
On school days, morning Kids Club at Bittersweet, Elm Road, Horizon, Mary Frank, Meadow's Edge, Northpoint, Prairie Vista and Walt Disney dismisses to classes shortly before 7:55 a.m. The afternoon session of Kids Club at these ten locations runs from 2:20 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Morning Kids Club at Elsie Rogers and Moran dismiss to classes shortly before 8:50 a.m. At the close of the school day, students may return to afternoon Kids Club at Elsie Rogers and Moran at 3 p.m.
*Please note if P-H-M schools are delayed by 2-hours, morning Kids Club will not operate. If P-H-M schools are closed, Kids Club will also be closed.
What does Kids Club cost?
In addition to the annual, non-refundable registration fee of $25 per child, the following fee schedule is in effect for the 2018-2019 school year when school is in session. These fees cover the cost of Kids Club before- and after-school care on days when school is in session. All ten schools have the same pricing.

Kids Club offers limited financial assistance to families that qualify for the free or reduced school lunch program. For more information, please speak with the site coordinator at your child’s school. Each family is responsible for the non-refundable $25 registration fee per child.
A ten percent discount is available to parents paying three times a year in advance during the school year and summer break.
The first payment is due on the first day of school, the second payment is due on the first day of school after the winter break and the third payment is due the first day of summer Kids Club. A schedule of school days is included in the packet of forms.
How is the program supervised?
A site coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of each site and childcare assistants work directly with the children. The goal is to have approximately one adult for every 15 children.
Staff members are certified in CPR and first aid and they are energetic, creative people who love working with children.

What about food?
During the school year, Penn-Harris-Madison food service provides a light breakfast for all morning Kids Club participants and a snack is offered in the afternoon. The cost of meals is included in the fee. On full days of childcare, Kids Club will offer a morning snack around 10:00 a.m. and an afternoon snack around 3 p.m. Children must bring a brown bag lunch on full days of childcare.
How do I register?
Contact the site coordinator at the school your child attends during Kids Club hours. The site coordinator will give you and your child a tour and explain the program. You will receive a packet of materials including emergency information forms and a parent handbook. All forms must be completed and returned, along with the non-refundable registration fee per child. A payment for the first two weeks of care is due on the day that your child begins the program.
Early registration is encouraged for all students who are planning to participate in the program and spring registration for the following year allows time to hire staff, order materials and prepare the site. Registrations are accepted year-round however, and students can join Kids Club at any time, space permitting.
Registrations should be sent or taken directly to the school, or they can be mailed to P-H-M Kids Club, 56219 Currant Road, Mishawaka IN, 46545. The elementary schools close each summer, so during that time frame—typically the third week of June through the first week of August—applications and registration fees must be mailed to P-H-M Kids Club, 56219 Currant Road, Mishawaka IN, 46545.
Children who join Kids Club after the start of the school year may begin participating no sooner than two days after their registration has been submitted. For example, if a parent completes registration on Monday, the child may start attending Kids Club on Wednesday. Enforcing this policy is one way we maintain children's safety and help to ensure a great start!
