Three summer sessions of Red Cross swim instruction at Penn High School for children age 4 and older who are toilet trained.

Choose from three sessions offered during summer 2026.
Program Information
- Classes are held at Penn High School.
- Children must be at least four years old and toilet trained.
- Each session includes 10 classes, with each class lasting 30 minutes.
- Classes during each session run daily, Monday through Friday.
- Each child will be tested on the first day and placed in a Red Cross swim level.
- To receive certification at the end of the session, children must attend testing on the first day.

Information will be published in March for families to review.

Registration opens
Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

Birth certificate requirement for 4-year-olds
Parents of four-year-old children must provide a birth certificate at the time of registration. On the day you register, email a copy of the birth certificate to jforkner@phm.k12.in.us.
If the birth certificate is not received, the registration will be canceled and a refund will be mailed.
Policies
- Class size is limited.
- Time slots are filled on a first come, first served basis.
- If you cancel, refunds are issued minus a $10 processing fee for each registration.
- Cancellations must be received at least seven business days before the start of the session.
- A $5 processing fee is charged for all transfers.
- Transfer fees must be paid in cash or by check at the Community Education office.
- Transfer fees cannot be charged to a credit or debit card.
