Penn STEM Academy earns IDOE Certification

Penn Principal Steve Hope announced Tuesday, May 31, 2016 that the high school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academy has been certified as a Full STEM Certified Program by the Indiana Department of Education.

This certification process represents an incredible amount of work from all of the STEM teachers and STEM Academy Leader Rachel Fry. The IDOE completed a site visit in April 2015 and reviewed the extensive certification work before awarding the five year certification. As an IDOE STEM certified school Penn High School will now be able to offer their expertise to help other schools around the state to build quality STEM programs.
