Superintendent of Schools

I am very happy to be serving as superintendent of schools at Penn-Harris-Madison where there is a long tradition of excellence in everything we do.  We continue to emphasize excellence because we believe that our students deserve a high level of success in academics and extracurricular activities. We provide many opportunities for young people so that everyone can find the right path to a successful and fulfilling life.

Partnerships with parents and other community members are vital to our schools and I will be working hard to build strong relationships. We welcome the involvement of our community.

We have a dedicated, hard-working staff who are committed to providing exemplary customer service to everyone who comes into contact with our schools. We will invest in our people with ongoing professional development opportunities so that every member of the P-H-M team can reach his or her full potential.

We live in a global society where all of our lives are interconnected in so many ways. It’s important we teach our students to value, appreciate and celebrate diversity because we want the world to be a better place, both now and in the future.

Finally, we will be working hard to assure that there is adequate funding for education. Every generation deserves the opportunity to be the best it can be and with adequate funding, our schools will continue to meet the high expectations of this community.

Dr. Jerry Thacker
